It has been a week of glory. Life near the ocean reminds me of the earths mysterious nature and its ability to renew and revitalize the spirit. I felt something in Mantanita that I have never felt before, and as new feelings generally come from new places, I believe that this heaven on earth is one of unmatchable force. I have never before seen such art, talent, and beauty. Check out the guy juggling knives! There is a place for which Mantanita is known called, La Punta. This area is bursting of energy at sunset and again made me wonder if I was dreaming. We met some locals that showed us the secret spots, including a church sitting right on the cliff above La Punta. Hey Mama you´de be proud, I chilled with God in the most majestic of sanctuaries! I wish you could have shared this experience with me. The people of Mantanita are here to share their passions, to relax... to live freely. It was especially radical because there was an International Surf Competition nearby so we were able to witness the surf town of Ecuador in its truest vibe. Linda and I could have easily stayed in Mantanita forever, but quite possibly would have gone broke so we travelled on. Guayaquil. Oh Guayaquil...I love this place for the memories and moments that I shared with such intense people! Kahyda, Daniel, Sabastian, German...you all rock my world! What a pleasure to share such music, laughter, dance, friendship, and terrible wine. Buuuuueno! Guayaquil is an awesome city! The Parque a los Iguanas, the riverfront, and its truly fascinating history...We felt at home in Ecuadors largest city and will return to finish exploring it.
We left Guayaquil as such captivated spirits. We were captives of connection, what better captivity! The energy of the Galapagos is the strongest in the world. I did not understand before... I could only imagine, however now that I feel it, I can only gracia los dios. This life is so intense! Linda and I did a sun dance in the ocean at the hottest time/place on earth. The sights my eyes have been so blessed to witness have conquered all doubt within, leaving room only for endless possability. Miracles.
A mi hermano... There is nothing more rewarding than travel. REAL travel. The kind that makes you struggle, makes you feel, makes you change. Immediacy does not exist here, solamente Ya Mismo. I wish I could magically transport you to be here with me and experience this South American lifestyle. Save your money dude, never feel that you can control this crazy life, and LOVE everyone.
